I’m not going to write about this in any particular order, as everyone who inspires me are equally as important. I’ve always wanted to write a post like this, as I feel everyone needs someone to inspire them to give them hope. I wanted to publish this so if I ever feel like I need inspiring, I can look back on this post. And hopefully, it helps you guys reading this to remember many great people have walked or still are walking this earth.
J.K.Rowling; An obvious choice in one sense as she’s an inspiration to most youngsters and aspiring authors. But this amazing woman came up with the idea of Harry Potter on a train ride during 1990, by the time she had finished it her mother passed away and she was near poverty. Her idea was rejected by 12 publishers yet she kept persisting with her dream to make Harry Potter known to the world. She is now a billionaire and the first author to become one. Despite her hard times, she channeled it into her writing and dare I say is one of the best authors of our time.
Felix Kjellberg better known as PewDiePie; He is the worlds most subscribed YouTuber. I recently watched a video of him just telling us about his journey in a casual interview for about an hour, and the fact he basically went from small jobs to a worldwide public figure is amazing. He puts in so much effort and time into his videos, to make a living off it and entertain everyone who watches him around the world. He’s hilarious and smart, he doesn’t deserve all the hate he keeps getting or the media rubbing his name in the dirt.

Scotty Cranmer; An American BMX rider who owns a sports/bike shop. He has gained many medals and sponsors such as Vans Shoes, Fox Clothing, and Monster Energy Drink. He constantly uploads videos to his YouTube channel, and recently had a nasty accident suffering from facial fractures, cerebral hemorrhage and damage to his C4 and C5 vertebrae. Yet after that accident, he’s still pushing himself forward to get back on his bike. Just from his videos, you can tell he’s a genuine person, who believes in himself and others if they’re willing to have the motivation to get to where they want. It seems almost rare to see this kind of drive in people and it’s so refreshing.

The 14th Dalai Lama; At the age of 2, he was picked out as the rebirth of the thirteenth Dalai Lama and sent for formal monastic training to become a Buddhist monk and eventually become the spiritual head of the Tibetan people. He was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1989, and for an assignment I had to write about him and I read his speech which was very inspiring to me. The Dalai Lama speaks such wisdom and kindness, he makes me want to become a better person.
“I am convinced that everyone can develop a good heart and a sense of universal responsibility with or without religion.”
“I don’t want to convert people to Buddhism — all major religions, when understood properly, have the same potential for good.” – from Nobel prize acceptance speech 1989
My Boyfriend David; I’ve known this amazing person since our college days, and I’ve been in a relationship with him since November 2015. He has recently applied for his dream job and is going through the training process right now. I’m so proud of him for doing what he really wants. He’s kind-hearted, hilarious, generous, and the one person who’s recently brought out the best in me and has motivated me to go for what I want too. He’s the reason behind a lot of the things I do. He’s my soul mate, best friend and love all in one.
My mother Tracy; Of course I was going to say my mom because every amazing mother sacrifices everything and anything for her children. She made a brave decision to have me at the age of fifteen, I got to grow up with a fun loving mother who has made me who I am to this day. And looking back on it all I owe her so much. Even though I’m twenty-one she still runs around doing things for me, she’s the most active and strongest woman I know.
My grandad Alan; So not only did he run a pub but also a shop and a cafe. He was a true business man and his life was taken from him too soon. He worked his hardest not only for his own pride but for his family. And when he met face to face with cancer, he was the bravest man I’ve ever seen.
So that’s who inspires me. Let me know in the comments if we’re inspired by the same people, or if not let me know who inspires you!
